The Mining Valuation Handbook is the most comprehensive guide to mining valuation on the market. This third edition provides up-to-date information and unravels some of the mystery surrounding the resources industry.
Victor Rudenno holds a Bachelor of Mining Engineering degree, a Master of Commerce degree and a Doctor of Philosophy for his thesis on Mining Economics. During his academic career from 1978, he lectured both at the University of New South Wales and part time at the University of Sydney, predominantly on mining economics, geostatistics, operations research and mineral processing.
In 1984 he moved to the stock broking industry working for a number of brokers including James Capel, DBSM and Prudential Bache. He became a rated mining and energy analyst and was voted by his peers as one of the Top Three energy analysts in Australia in the BRW 1994 Analyst Survey. In 1995 he moved to the corporate side of investment banking and worked for a number of leading firms including Macintosh Corporate, Deutsche Bank, Hartley Poynton and CIBC. In his role as a corporate advisor he was involved in numerous capital raisings, IPOs, corporate valuations and divestments.
In 2000 Victor co-founded Equity Capital Markets Ltd that specialised in corporate advice and capital raisings, which merged with Interfinancial Ltd in 2005 and was subsequently acquired by Tolhurst Ltd, an ASX listed stockbroker. During this time he held the position of Executive Director, Head of Resources. He is now an executive director of Revaluate Pty Limited, which specialises in resource evaluation and corporate advisory.
Victor has continued in his role as an advisor to listed and private mining companies on financial modelling, restructuring, resource valuation and capital raisings. He has previously advised government and semi government agencies on resource valuations and has acted as an expert witness on mining and ASX matters.
He is a Senior Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australia (Finsia) and a Member of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and a non executive director of ASX and AMEX listed Samson Oil & Gas Limited. He is also the principal lecturer for mining investment analysis at Kaplan/Finsia.
