Steven Doran is a former Sheriff and Chief of Police. He was recruited by The University of California because of their role as a government contractor to the Department of Energy and other government agencies Steve served as the University's Director of Public Safety and Systems Security. His jurisdiction covered all of the campuses, national laboratories and government test facilities under the university's control. During that time Steve solved some of the most critical cases in the laboratory's 60-year history.
A former US Marine, Steve served in the Middle East and around the world on many classified and declassified missions. As a government contractor Steve has trained military personnel in outdoor survival skills, self defense, close quarter combat, provided security and investigative services.
Since 1984 Steve has contracted with fortune 100 and 500 companies rooting out crime and corruption within their organizations, protecting their assets and families, training personnel and executives, performing contract search and rescues, providing expeditionary security and negotiating with native peoples.
His exploits have been covered by nearly every major national and international news organization around the world. Steve has been and continues to be the subject of many television, newspaper and magazine articles.
Steve has been hailed as a National Hero by Members of Congress. He has received hundreds of letters of commendation from heads of state, the FBI and other law enforcement agencies for his participation in many high profile cases and assignments.
